General Orders No. 17 1861 October 1 Broadside.

Reprint of a proclamation by Gov. Magoffin and resolutions and enactments passed by the Kentucky legislature. Broadside issued by Brig. Gen. C.F. Smith. Requests that all Confederate and Tennessee troops withdraw from Kentucky unconditionally or be expelled. Gen. Robert Anderson authorized to raise a volunteer force to expel these 'invading forces.' State militia called to assist in these resolutions.
